Long day #1

Busy times.  We all started by waking up shorty after the sun rose, and my body really has no idea what time or day it is. After traveling 8000 miles over two days things get a bit weird on the sleep cycles, but we are men, we power though that crap.

We started with breakfast at the hotel. Fresh fruit, coffee, banana pancake and a baguette were all in order for the the low price of 3 dollars. This might sound like a super deal, but after a short time in country, I have learned the hotels do charge a bit of a premium price.  I really don't care about the 50 cent up charge to eat here, but it really is a racket in this country.  James called this the wild wild west of southeast Asia, and he was right.

We decided that there wasn't enough in the tank to go directly to the temples, so today was a chance to see the city and get our bearings. After 9 we wandered the city just to see what was around us.  We found a small market, a Buddhist temple, and we walked the river.  The river is, even by third world standards, filthy.  The water isn't flowing right now, so there is a lot of trash, bottles, plastic bags and other things floating around.  It doesn't seem to stop the locals from bathing in it.
James, and I, Eric was to interested in buying something for Jennifer.
Eric getting a fish pedi. The fish attack your feet and scrape off the dead skin. It kind of tickles.

Now you understand why I told you not to drink the water, just the beer. Jerry
